Wayne McCary Tent #172 Summer Meeting
COME ONE!! COME ALL!! FOR A GREAT 3-DAY CIRCUS WEEKEND!!
Do not miss this Wayne McCary Tent meeting!!
Meeting will be July 14th at the Dalton American Legion Hall on Rte 9 in
Dalton. Doors will open at 10:30 am with lunch at 11:30. There will be a
teacup auction (items needed).
Dinner choice will be roast beef or
chicken with all the fixings. This meeting will be to honor and thank
Wayne McCary for all he has done for the Tent and circus industry and
fans.Cost is just $20. After CFA members & friends will attend the
2pm Kelly Miller Circus which is right behind the Legion Hall. Advance
circus tickets are $10 adult and $6 child.
Those coming early will meet at Dan &
Mary's house Friday, July 13th, at 6 pm for a cookout (no charge). What a
great way to meet,cutup jackpots and see Dan's circus/carnival
collection completely done over this past winter.
On Saturday morning Fans are invited to the
circus lot to watch as trucks arrive around 7am. Coffee & donuts
will be available (free) provided by the circus host, The Dalton Lions
Club.
After the circus 2 pm show, those staying are invited to a cookout by the Legion pond ($5).
On Sunday, those staying may want to go to
the Polish Picnic in Pittsfield on north Street. Great food and Polish
music from noon-6pm.
On Sunday as the show is taking down after
the 5 pm performance Fans will again meet by the pond for a cookout ($5)
with circus performers invited.
To make motel reservations call the Shamrock
Village Inn at 413-684-0860. There is a limited amount of rooms
available. There are plenty of hotels/motels in area. It is summer
season--call and make plans early!!
To make reservation for meeting send a check
made out to Wayne McCary Tent #172 36 Claremont Road Dalton,
Massachusetts 01226-2009.
