The appointment of John and Mardi Wells as Co-Editors of THE WHITE TOPS has been determined by the unanimous vote of the CFA Board of Directors
The appointment is effective as of July 15 and their first
issue of the magazine will be September/October, 2006 with full
coverage of the CFA National Convention in Chicago.
John and Mardi operate Quality Design Xpress in Columbus, Ohio,
a design and graphic organization with experience in newsletters,
magazines, reports, and advertising. They are graduates of the Ohio
State University, each with a BA in television programming and MAs in
journalism. John and Mardi worked for 12 years in television. In 1972
they started their own business, which does electronic design and
manufacturing as well as graphic arts work.
The Wells have been CFA members since 2001, active in the Tony
Diano Tent in Columbus and the Ohio Sells Bros. Top. They edit and
publish The Sellsville Ballyhoo, which won top honors in last year’s
CFA newsletter competition. They also produce newsletters for the Ohio
Historical Society and the Ohio Railway Museum.
When not involved in circus things, they do first person
historical re-creations in the time periods from the Revolutionary War
through World War II. They also produce and perform old time radio
shows like “The Shadow.” John and Mardi play vintage baseball, contra
dance, and put together rail excursions.
