The appointment of John and Mardi Wells as Co-Editors of THE WHITE TOPS has been determined by the unanimous vote of the CFA Board of Directors

The appointment is effective as of July 15 and their first issue of the magazine will be September/October, 2006 with full coverage of the CFA National Convention in Chicago.

John and Mardi operate Quality Design Xpress in Columbus, Ohio, a design and graphic organization with experience in newsletters, magazines, reports, and advertising. They are graduates of the Ohio State University, each with a BA in television programming and MAs in journalism. John and Mardi worked for 12 years in television. In 1972 they started their own business, which does electronic design and manufacturing as well as graphic arts work.

The Wells have been CFA members since 2001, active in the Tony Diano Tent in Columbus and the Ohio Sells Bros. Top. They edit and publish The Sellsville Ballyhoo, which won top honors in last year’s CFA newsletter competition. They also produce newsletters for the Ohio Historical Society and the Ohio Railway Museum.

When not involved in circus things, they do first person historical re-creations in the time periods from the Revolutionary War through World War II. They also produce and perform old time radio shows like “The Shadow.” John and Mardi play vintage baseball, contra dance, and put together rail excursions.

Contact the new editors at <whitetops@columbus.rr.com>. Send lots of articles and photographs. A new website for submissions to the magazine is available at <www.whitetops.org> E-mail John and Mardi for the user name and password.
