CIRCUS HISTORICAL SOCIETY BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPROVES WEB SITE LINK
New direct link to Historical White Tops index on CHS site.
The Circus Historical Society ("CHS") maintains an outstanding Web Site at www.circushistory.org Since the Circus Fans Association of America ("CFA") Web Site at www.circusfans.org was reconstructed in 2003, a link to the CHS Web Site has existed on the CFA Web Site. The CHS Web Site provides a wealth of historical information about the American Circus. The CHS, founded in 1939, is dedicated to research and present circus history, collect and preserve circus memorabilia and artifacts, perpetuate circus arts and skills, and encourage in every way possible an appreciation for circuses and their role in popular culture and the performing arts.
CHS maintains a White Tops Index on its Web Site, which provides researches and fans an index to articles appearing in White Tops. The editors of the CFA Web Site requested the CHS Board of Directors to approve a direct link from the CFA Web Site to the White Tops Index on the CHS site. On January 14, CHS Secretary/Treasurer Alan Campbell advised CFA that the CHS Board of Directors approved of the direct link to the White Tops Index. Ed Limbach, CFA Director of Public Relations and Media, said, "We are aware of the time and effort that has gone into creating the White Tops Index and we are very appreciative that the CHS Board of Directors has permitted this link."
